Last year, PXE held a total of 100 energy auctions for end users representing cities, municipalities and state institutions. The total auction volume exceeded 2.6 TWh.
Despite the unfavourable situation for consumers on the wholesale energy market, PXE's energy auctions for end customers on its PARC platform continued to attract strong interest in 2021. Through its auctions, PXE secured energy supplies for 965 entities (over 16,000 points of delivery) in a total of 100 auctions. Due to the strict conditions for suppliers operating on the PXE commodity market, which include, among other things, the need to purchase energy immediately after contact conclusion, there was no loss of supplier and no customer (point of delivery) ended up in the Supplier of Last Resort (SoLR) mode.
"I am very pleased that our strict conditions protected our clients in the unprecedentedly volatile situation that has prevailed on the energy markets in recent months. It is certainly very good news that those who have purchased energy through our platform will receive their energy exactly as tendered. I firmly believe that we will continue to succeed in the future as well”, says David Kučera, General Secretary of Power Exchange Central Europe.
