The Digital Platform of Energy Points of Delivery (PARC application) project took second place in the category of the Project for a City with 50,000 to 200,000 Inhabitants in the 4th year of the SMART CITIES 2020 competition. The event is organised by Smart City Innovations Institute, registered institute, under the auspices of the Ministry of Regional Development of the Czech Republic and the Union of Towns and Municipalities of the Czech Republic and is focused on innovations of so-called Smart Municipalities, Towns and Regions. More than 180 projects registered for this year's competition and the competition was huge, not only in terms of quantity, but above all in terms of quality. This year, the expert jury consisting of more than thirty members had perhaps the most difficult decision to make of all the past years. During the two-round evaluation, the expert jury assessed the extent to which the submitted solutions and projects met the four pillars of SMART CITY, which were Feasibility, Sustainability, Economy, Awareness, or openness of data and public participation. For many of the projects, the expert jury also carried out an on-line remote evaluation at the project execution site by means of remote communication.
