PXE has a new market maker

POWER EXCHANGE CENTRAL EUROPE (PXE) has signed an agreement with Danske Commodities A/S, a new market maker for the CEGH Czech Gas Market.

PXE has operated a gas market in cooperation with Austrian Central European Gas Hub AG (CEGH) since 2013. Currently, a total of 22 trading participants are active on the spot and futures gas market, of which three (including Danske Commodities A/S) serve as market makers. However, Danske Commodi-ties A/S is the first market maker active on the spot as well as futures market.

"Danske Commodities is an experienced foreign trader active on more than thirty European markets. I am thrilled that after two years on our market, it has decided to expand its role and support liquidity on the gas market. This is not only good news for all trading participants, but also great motivation to follow the example of Danske Commodities,” says David Kučera, General Secretary of POWER EXCHANGE CENTRAL EUROPE.

Danske Commodities A/S signed an agreement with PXE with effect from 1 August 2016.
